Who should attend?

The workshop is designed for Scrum Masters, Team Leads, project and other managers, leaders, and other roles who want to learn new facilitation practices.

Description

What is our role actually as a facilitator? Are we...

  • the time-keeper?

  • the one who comes up with some crazy energizers?

  • the one ensuring everyone gets a voice?

  • the one who designs the workshop flow?

  • none of the above?

  • all of the above?

Facilitating comes from the french "rendre facile", i.e. making things easy. How could we play our role in the best possible way, ensuring we make the group thinking process easy?
So if that's the case, how should we approach our role? What options do we have for making group work easy? What about difficult participants? How do we keep our energy? What if we don't feel like we can do this (the dreaded Impostor Syndrome)?

Oh, there are many options to choose from, and through this one-day workshop we will experiment with activities from Thiagi, Liberating Structures, Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed, Conversational Dynamics, Clean language,...
The purpose here is to experiment with them, learn what their strengths are and how we can apply them back in our daily lives. How we could use these structures for product development, teaching, facilitating difficult situations, basically how to work better together.
We will also see how many of these activities can be tailored for online work.

You will leave this workshop with having practiced enough activities to see how you could use them, as well as a plethora of references on how to do even more of them!
